The Fitchburg school district serves over 6,000 students from pre-kindergarten through high school.  The district includes a new high school boasting computer labs, radio and television studios, digital photography instructional areas and engineering instruction.  Fitchburg has also developed a network of magnet schools that provide students with an opportunity to attend schools that focus on global awareness, integrated arts, environmental learning, and leadership through communication or community enrichment.  The Arts Vision School offers music, theatre arts, visual arts, landscape design and culinary arts.

Fitchburg is a leading member of the Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School, is host to several private and parochial schools, and is home to Fitchburg State College, a four-year liberal arts college.  In addition, a host of world renowned college opportunities are within driving distance.
